Wyken is a 1200-acre farm that was once occupied by Romans, with a 7-acre vineyard producing award-winning wines. On site they host weekly farmers markets, a shop, gardens, vineyard walks, and a restaurant and cafe.
The Wyken Vineyards consist of around 12,000 vines, and the wine they produce is sold both in their restaurant and the shop. The shop has been stocked with carefully chosen products, including books, pottery, dog beds, clothing, and much more!
Every Saturday from 09:00-13:00 they hold The Wyken Farmers’ Market, which is all about farmers, producers, bakers, makers, friends and family. They have so many delicious and creative products to sell, including fresh produce, alcoholic beverages, sweet treats, breads/pastries, flowers, furniture – the list is endless!
Onsite there is also The Leaping Hare restaurant, set in a beautiful 400 year old barn, serving modern and traditional food. Impressively they have been in both the Good Food Guide and a Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide for over 20 years! If you are looking for a lighter option, the Wyken Cafe serves breakfast and lunches daily, and you can expect the same excellent service and quality as the restaurant.
Complete your visit here with a a relaxing walk around the vineyard, meadows, and woodland; or meander around their gardens which are packed with great variety of plants, herbs, and fruit trees; also home to some peacocks, and other birds.
